Le Chatelard 1802 Savon de Marseille Soaps

All soaps are handmade in the workshops of Le Chatelard 1802 in St Auban sur Ouvèze, Provence (France). Due to the pH neutral formula, these soaps do not dry out the skin for they are a source of intense hydration and softness. The soaps are subtly perfumed with flowers, fruit and other natural ingredients giving them a rich lather that nourishes and moisturizes and are deliciously scented. This 100% natural soap is made traditionally by mixing water from the Mediterranean Sea with olive oil, (with or without other vegetable oils), sodium carbonate and sodium hydroxide. This mixture is heated in a large kettle for a few days, stirring constantly. This gives it all the time it needs to 'mature', after which it is poured into moulds to harden further. When the soap is still soft, it is already cut into the right shape and stamped. The whole process can take up to a month.

Enriched with almond oil, so extra kind to the skin.
